Plunkett Community Nursing Unit is a purpose-built single-storey centre operational since 1973.

The centre can accommodate up to 41 residents.

Plunkett provides care to dependent older residents who require long stay and respite care. Many of the current residents have maximum dependency needs.

A physiotherapy department is located within the building.
An ambulance base and a mental health day-care service facility are located onsite.

The grounds are well kept with large well manicured gardens. There is ample car parking space provided

Plunkett Community Nursing Unit is located close to the town centre of Boyle, County Roscommon.

It’s close proximity to the town enables easy access for residents to avail of local amenities such as the post office, shops bank and church.
