Rathkeevan Nursing Home is a single-storey, purpose-built and has operated as a designated centre for dependent persons since 2001.

Though built to accommodate 63 residents, some reconfiguration of the service has occurred and currently there is capacity to provide long-term, respite and palliative care for 60 residents.

Expert nursing care under the direction of Nurse Manager - Marie Slattery is provided by qualified nurses and care attendants on a 24-hour basis and is planned to meet individual needs.

All rooms, both private and shared, have individual ensuite facilities. Residents are welcome to bring personal items like photographs, ornaments and so on, to their individual rooms.

The premises is on a spacious site that provides for a landscaped area with walkways and three secure patio areas, one off each of the interconnecting corridors.

Rathkeevan Nursing Home is located on the Limerick/Waterford National Primary Route (N24) just 3 miles from Clonmel and 7 miles from Cahir.
It is adjacent to Barne Lodge Public House and Restaurant and to Rathkeevan Primary School and Community Hall
