Dalkey Community Unit for Older People is a purpose build unit opened in 2000. They are situated in Dalkey village behind the Catholic Church.

It is near the coffee shops, banks, library, the Dart station, shops etc.

A multidisciplinary approach is used to develop care plans. A balance is sought between the medical care and creating a homely atmosphere.

An open visiting policy is in operation however mealtimes are protected unless a relative or friend visits at mealtimes to assist their relative to have their meal.

Irish Nursing Homes in Ireland and Our Irish Health System

Leadership comes in many guises. True leadership must have at its core an integrity and a heart.
We expect our Irish Health System, acting as a leader, guide and mentor,
to look to it's people with an outstretched hand.

It should assist and support in every way possible and together we will achieve those very high goals we all deserve

We must always strive for a better health and overall care for everyone.
We must continually challenge our standards of safety and the quality of our health services
